The buildingSMART International
Standards Summit Summary
A huge thanks to all 769 total attendees (392 in person, 377 virtual) for attending this year's buildingSMART International Standards Summit and Canadian National Conference, which would not have been possible without the 24 sponsors and 9 media partners. Over the course of 4 days, we heard from over 150 speakers, resulting in over 84 hours of presentations. All session recordings will be released soon on our YouTube channel; subscribe now to be notified when new videos are uploaded. The Closing Plenary recording is already available for you to watch here.
This was the first physical summit in some time following COVID, and it was undoubtedly a successful week. The full report has been published on our website where you can read more details day by day.
The buildingSMART International Award Winners 2022
This year the buildingSMART openBIM Awards Program had 121 submissions; with the most popular categories being Construction for Buildings and Technology. All submissions are reviewed by our technical triage team, this year 51 passed. The jury team was made up of 152 international experts who selected 21 finalists.
During the Summit, all 2022 finalists presented their projects. After all the finalists from each category had presented, an elite jury deliberated in private to determine a winner. The winners were announced at the buildingSMART gala dinner and Awards Ceremony during the Summit.
Congratulations to all the finalists, special mentions, and winners from this year's Program!
